Insured Nomads donates to Not For Sale to support regions of the world that are vulnerable to exploitation and human trafficking. Through impact sourcing, we help communities to thrive and prevent their vulnerability to trafficking in the first place. Human trafficking is the fastest growing illegal industry in the world.
Nearly everything we consume — from clothing, to the batteries in our cell phones, to the fish we eat — has forced labor and exploitation hidden somewhere inside its production. Many of us, including the businesses who make the products we buy, have no idea when or where the exploitation occurs. And it’s growing every single day.
This form of modern-day slavery affects men, women, and children. Traffickers use force, fraud, or coercion to control victims for the purpose of exploitation and forced labor. People who are vulnerable to trafficking include those experiencing economic hardship, lack of social safety net, natural disasters, or political instability. Women and children are disproportionally affected by human trafficking, making up as much as 71 percent of all trafficking victims, including 99 percent of all sexual exploitation.
People today are living in slave-like conditions. That’s bigger than the population of California, Canada, or Argentina. Nearly every country on earth is affected, including the United States. And more than $150 billion in profits are generated annually by businesses employing slavery and exploitation.
When you purchase coverage from Insured Nomads, we make a donation to organizations whose impact reaches far and wide. We partner with Not For Sale. Consider making a contribution to broaden their impact.
Not For Sale is fighting to end the circumstances that lead to exploitation and slavery, which affects more than 45 million people today.
Not For Sale partners with local experts to understand the areas they work in and entrepreneurs and other resources to create projects (education, training, employment) that break the cycle of slavery.
They operate in many countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas.
We knew, from the start, that we love to protect people. Our protection is more than the health/medical, security and delays of travel but protecting the vulnerable child, the unguarded teenager, the orphan adult that has not had a guard at their side showing them the way.
As a company, before a single sale took place we made a commitment to significant contributions to Not For Sale. Each quarter we will be contributing and ask that you join us when you purchase and with a monthly pledge from your own giving plan.
